누가복음 6:32-35

너희가 만일 너희를 사랑하는 자를 사랑하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨

죄인들도 사랑하는 자를 사랑하느니라
너희가 만일 선대하는 자를 선대하면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨 죄인들도 이렇게 하느니라
너희가 받기를 바라고 사람들에게 빌리면 칭찬 받을 것이 무엇이뇨 죄인들도 의수히 받고자 하여 죄인에게 빌리느니라
오직 너희는 원수를 사랑하고 선대하며 아무 것도 바라지 말고 빌리라

그리하면 너희 상이 클 것이요 또 지극히 높으신 이의 아들이 되리니

그는 은혜를 모르는 자와 악한 자에게도 인자로우시니라

"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?

Even 'sinners' love those who love them.
And if you do good to those who are good to you,

what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that.
And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment,

what credit is that to you?

Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full.
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without

expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great,

and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to

the ungrateful and wicked.  (Luke 6:32~35, NIV)
